No. NUMI intentionally does not connect to your bank account or require internet banking logins. It works completely securely by reading standard transaction SMS notifications sent by your bank.
Absolutely not. If you prefer, you can deny SMS permissions and manually paste the SMS text into the app, or manually type in your expenses. The automatic parsing is entirely optional.
We currently support parsing SMS from Commercial Bank, Sampath Bank, HNB, BOC, People's Bank, NDB, Seylan, DFCC, and NTB. We continuously update our parsing engine to support more banks and different message formats.
Currently, NUMI is focused on providing the best experience for Android due to its ability to read incoming SMS automatically. An iOS version requiring manual SMS pasting is on our future roadmap.
You can manually export your complete database as a secure file from the settings menu and save it to your Google Drive or computer. Our upcoming premium tier will offer end-to-end encrypted automatic cloud backups.
